Registration is free, but seating is limited and we are quickly approaching the maximum seating capacity for our Second Quarter Summit on April 28.
If you are a procrastinator, you may be disappointed. We will be at Westside Church (8610 W 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46234) again. Grace Conyers is our first failure story-teller. Grace is going to share a story from her military experience. If I were to choose a title for Grace’s story, it would be “Lessons from Wearing The Scarlet Letter of Failure”.
Our second failure story-teller is Jack Frisby, the owner of Optimize Selling Solutions and author of “Stop Selling… Start Serving”. Jack’s story will focus on the role of one’s character in navigating through failure. Jack will also be facilitating our small group discussion. Don’t miss this high-impact event.
Not a lot has been written about failure and much of what has been written is shallow and clichéd. That is why I especially appreciate the writing of Amy Edmondson, the Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at the Harvard Business School and an expert in organizational culture. Here is a classic interview with Professor Edmondson in which she speaks about skills for failing forward and how leaders can manage the tension between accountability and failure.
